Houston Bistro des Amis Autumn Wine Dinner
Our Houston bistro is serving up some “wow” wines and champagne for the next event. And the food, well, just read the four
courses being served and feel your mouth start to water. If you have never been to the bistro Houston has rated one of the best, or you want to come back for another delicious dining experience, this event is your chance.
Starting
with seasonal pears, complimented by blue cheese and other refreshing flavors and
textures, the first course is paired with a first-class wine.
The
Foie Gras is Bernard’s latest creation to bring you one of a kind dishes here
in Houston. Sip some Pinot Gris with this dish, and it all melts in your mouth
with layers of flavor. Really, you have to try this one.
The
main courses offer surf or turf…
The
fish with melted soft cheese and a light sauce turns this chicken of the sea
into an extraordinary experience. The color of the vegetables pull your eyes,
but it’s the fish-sauce combination with the tasty Pouilly Fume, a 100%
Sauvignon Blanc, that makes the taste buds go “yum.”
Usually
the other main entree choice would be introduced here, but it’s the wine that needs
the first introduction: ChateauNeuf du Pape Haute Pierre. Full-bodied, and when sipped while enjoying a rack of lamb with a light Dijon crust and gratin Dauphinois
potatoes, all together, this makes a near perfect
plate.
Dessert drinks are usually in order about this time, but we decided to end with champagne, and not just any one. Lois Roeder Brut is a delicious pairing for the chocolaty
nutty ending. Flavors burst in your mouth, teasing the taste buds for another bite and a sip of bubbly. It’s a sweet temptation.
Bring
your sweetheart to the Houston bistro des amis and make it a romantic night.
The people, the unique crooked house turned French bistro, and the dinner should create a lovely atmosphere, with couples winking at each
other and throwing kisses across the table, saying Je t’aime.
