Introducing Houston Bistro des Amis French Restaurant
Bernie Cuillier, the Master Chef behind French Bistro des Amis, has spent his entire career in the kitchen.
Having helped create and re-establish restaurants on every continent, and just about every cruise line around the world, he’s loves what he does. Today, he stands as one of the original chefs knighted into the World Master Chef Organization, the highest International honor that can be bestowed upon a chef.
Yet, you wouldn’t know anything about his stature without me mentioning it, because when you meet him, he’s unpretentious and acts like any hard working person. When you come over to his restaurant,
you’ll probably see him pop out to look at the front end and to meet some guests. You’ll notice him in his funny looking pajama-like chef pants, with a t-shirt and an apron, and a pair of clogs to top it off.
It makes sense that Bernie would naturally gravitate to Custom Catering Houston with fine food. What many of you may not know is, he’s used to organizing, managing and creating up to 10,000 dishes a day for cruise ships. Catering to weddings, VIP parties, corporate events, cocktail parties, and the likes were all part of it. If you’ve ever been on one yourself or know of somebody that has, you’ve heard about all the amazing food and service. This is something Bernie and his team could contribute to your next upcoming wedding, party, and event.
Matt began his tenure in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher at the age of 14 with a local family owned restaurant in Massachusetts.He worked through every position, exceeding every challenge, until reaching management and partnership of many restaurants. Experiences from manager of multiple Brinker International restaurants, district manager of large corporate restaurants, General Manager of Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in Manhattan New York, Operating Partner of Mo’s… a Place for Steaks, and Director of Operations for Cyclone Anaya’s have secured his position as a leader in the restaurant industry. The next step was naturally individual ownership. He began with Bistro des Amis in the summer of 2011. He has now partnered with World Master Chef Bernard Cuillier. Matt believes that this is the perfect recipe for success, Bernard’s creativity in the kitchen and Matt’s focus on service and the perfect guest experience. Matt’s principle has always been great food combined with impeccable service. The answer is always yes, every guest, every time!
